Moving House
If you are planning to move house, and that move is local to your current address, you will be aware of any problems that are associated with the locality or district. But when you enquire locally, many people will tell you there are none. How many people who live next to Heathrow airport, even under the flight path, will tell you there is little or no aircraft noise. When you have lived with it for a number of years it probably isn’t a problem….you have just got used to it. When you visit a property that looks ideal and the wind is in the west, and the map you look at just says ‘Farm’, you may find after you’ve moved in, and the wind is in the east, that it’s actually a pig farm. The corner plot you have visited on a pleasant afternoon, suddenly becomes a magnet for the local teenagers at 9pm, who hang around the area until 11.30 every night. They can’t expect the vendor to mention it, since they wish to sell, and the local residents aren’t about during the day when you call. When you visit at weekends there seems to be plenty of street parking, so a garage isn’t a concern. But you may then find that during the week the roads are full to overflowing, as commuters leave their cars there.
Unless you have the time to visit on different days of the week and at different times of the day you may not realise the full picture. We can carry out those visits for you, and compile written reports, often with accompanying photographs and video, before you commit to the expense and stress of moving house, only to find you have problems on your doorstep that a lick of paint and new carpets won’t put right.
